The concert, held at St. Barnabas Church last March, saw CSD Brass join forces with local ten-piece ensemble <a href=\"http:\/\/www.primebrass.co.uk\/\">Prime Brass<\/a> and visiting National First Section band&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.jerseypremierbrass.org.je\/JPB_website_new_1\/Home.html\">Jersey Premier Brass<\/a>&nbsp;for an evening extravaganza.<br>The bands dedicated the benefit concert to the memory of Dr. Luke Salter, a popular and respected member of the local brass playing community, who sadly died from Ewing&#8217;s sarcoma in 2002. More recently, this form of cancer also led to the death of internationally-renowned trumpeter Derek Watkins in 2013.<br><a href=\"http:\/\/sarcoma.org.uk\">Sarcoma UK<\/a>&#8216;s mission is to amplify sarcoma awareness, inspire involvement, and fund ground-breaking research to transform the lives of everyone affected by sarcoma.
