For garden parties and Summer events

The traditional sound of a brass band is a wonderful accompaniment to tea and scones on the village green. CSD Brass can enliven any garden party or fête with a two-hour programme mixing lively music of different styles, old and new. Whether your guests will sit on the lawn to listen, or appreciate the music as a background to the social hubbub, we’re sure we can add something to your event.

June and July are our busiest months of the year, so please do book early to avoid disappointment.

For concerts

At CSD Brass, we pride ourselves on our versatility. Whatever style or period of music you’d like to hear, we can keep your audience rapt with a delicately balanced performance. We’ve played everything from Strauss-themed gala concerts to experimental piano concerti.

As well as our own big termly concerts, we often play in joint concerts with other local bands.

If you have a specific piece of music in mind, or you’d like us to tailor a programme to your needs, we can usually accommodate this, but you’ll need to plan well ahead so that we can rehearse any special pieces.

For outdoor events, consider preparing an alternative indoor venue, as we won’t be able to play outdoors if it rains. In the hot Summer months, we play at our best in the shade: for example, under a large tree, a marquee, or a bandstand. In or out of doors, we require 25-30 chairs, and vehicle access to the venue when we arrive and leave.
