Happy New Year

We are looking forward to a brilliant 2024, with major concerts in March, November and December as well as a programme of lighter music in the summer and at Christmas.

Now is a great time to join us! We have vacancies for percussion (tuned and kit) and Bb Bass. Prior brass band experience not necessary. We can offer a friendly and welcoming group of fellow musicians, an inclusive ethos and an exciting calendar of concerts and events. Contact csdbrass@gmail.com to enquire.

Although we don’t have full vacancies in other sections, we would welcome enquiries from other brass players to make connections in case of future changes.

CSD says farewell to MD David Sait

After a very dedicated few years with the band, our esteemed Musical Director David Sait has decided to move on to adventures new, and we are grateful to him for his conscientiousness and commitment to the band. This is an exciting time for CSD – we have a number of gigs lined up for the summer and for Christmas and are about to embark on a major project to reinvigorate the band following the disruption caused by the pandemic.
